SUPPLEMENTARY: 1
Testis: Accessory Ducts (VLP)

This is an oblique section through the seminiferous tubules of the posterior part of the testis which also cuts through the rete testis, efferent tubules and epididymis.

(1) Dense connective tissue of the tunica albuginea surrounding the testis.

(2) Seminiferous tubules cut in many planes of section

(3) The rete testis is a series of irregular spaces lying in connective tissue known as the mediastinum testis. From this region, branching septa of loose connective tissue divide the testis into a number of lobules. The septa carry blood vessels from the mediastinum to the interstitial tissue of the testis.

(4) 10-12 Efferent tubules with irregular luminal margins

(5) Sections of the duct of the epididymis with regular luminal margins
